ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A New Mexican will be representing the state on the golf course as he heads to the northeastern U.S. – and he’s only a freshman in high school.
Angelo Martinez leaves next week to attend high school and play golf in Connecticut as he chases his dreams of being a professional golfer. Angelo will be attending a golf prep academy on a scholarship, thanks to a chance encounter and connection made with professional golfer and Albuquerque native Notah Begay III.
Angelo, his dad Ruben, his mom Raelene and his sister Mia joined Kai Porter to discuss his exciting opportunity.
