AFR: 1 found dead after RV fire

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — First responders found one person dead after crews extinguished an RV fire Friday at a mobile home park in southeast Albuquerque.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded around 11:55 a.m. to a possible RV fire at a mobile home park in the 500 block of Utah Street, just south of Trumbull Avenue. When AFR arrived, they found the RV fully engulfed in flames and encroaching on a nearby mobile home.

Crews extinguished the fire within about 13 minutes. They found one person dead inside of the RV.

Meanwhile, the nearby mobile home had smoke damage and the carport had fire damage.

AFR is investigating the cause of the fire. No firefighters were injured.
