Albuquerque police investigate 2 separate fatal incidents

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police are investigating two separate incidents that killed two people.
The first one happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 2300 block of Second Street SW. A vehicle struck a pedestrian who was lying in the roadway, according to a statement from APD. The driver stayed on the scene and was interviewed by officers.
The second incident happened around 11:30 a.m. near the entrance to University of New Mexico hospital emergency room.
A vehicle hit a person who was in the middle of Lomas, at Stanford, according to APD.
The driver did not stop and fled the area. The victim was taken into the emergency room but died of their injuries.
