AFR responds to fire at apartment complex

About eight people now don't have a place to live because of the damage this fire caused.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque Fire Rescue crews spent Sunday morning battling a large apartment fire in the northeast part of the city.

Around 4 a.m. Sunday, AFR crews responded to reports of smoke at the Arioso Apartments on Montgomery Boulevard, near Louisiana Boulevard. It took crews two hours to bring the fire under control after they arrived.

First responders treated a person at the scene. According to AFR, around eight people will be displaced as a result of the fire.

AFR is still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
