APD seeks suspect in hit-and-run death of beloved cycling advocate

Jose Ivan Rios is wanted for the death of Chuck Malgodi, a cycling advocate struck and killed while riding his bike in southeast Albuquerque.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police are looking for the man accused of a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a well-known cycling advocate.
Jose Ivan Rios Sanchez is accused of hitting and killing Chuck Malagodi with his truck while Malagodi was riding his bicycle. It happened last month at Carlisle and Kathryn.
Malagodi was a fierce supporter of the cycling community. He fought for safe cycling in Albuquerque.
