Preview: Llantos 1492, A Flamenco Opera
The show premieres this month as a fusion of flamenco and opera.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — If opera isn’t normally your thing, maybe Opera Southwest’s flamenco-infused production could change your mind.
The “Llantos 1492: A Flamenco Opera” production premieres Sunday, Feb. 16, at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. They will have four shows, showcasing the fusion of opera and flamenco.
Opera Southwest flamenco choreographer Joaquin Encinia and composer Adam Del Monte stopped by the KOB 4 studio to talk about the show and to give a preview performance.
