A judge sentenced a man who pleaded no contest to a deadly shooting inside of a northeast Albuquerque movie theater.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A judge sentenced a man who pleaded no contest to a deadly shooting inside of a northeast Albuquerque movie theater.
Enrique Padilla was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading no contest to shooting and killing Michael Tenorio over seats inside of the Century Rio 24 movie theater in northeast Albuquerque. It happened in June 2023.
Just a day after his trial began in November, Enrique Padilla pleaded no contest to two felony charges – second-degree murder and third-degree tampering with evidence.
Padilla’s murder charge came with a firearm enhancement. He faced 20 years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections.
