Brandon Richards’ Midday Weather Forecast for New Mexico | Feb. 13, 2025

A lot of people want a lot of different things for Valentine's Day and the weather knows it – conditions will vary depending on where you are in New Mexico. See the latest conditions at KOB.com/Weather.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A warm front will move in after a chilly start to Thursday but that will mean a mixed bag of conditions the rest of the week in New Mexico.

Places like Socorro, Alamogordo and Deming will get into the 60s. Places like Albuquerque, Gallup, Silver City and Farmington will get into the 50s while places like Santa Fe, Taos and Raton will be in the 40s. It’ll be a big dig out of the chilly, chilly wind chills we woke up to.

A winter storm warning will go into effect this evening and last until Saturday morning for parts of northern New Mexico where 4-8 inches are possible, with 8-16 inches possible above 8,000 feet and 16-24 inches possible above 9,500 feet. Travel may be difficult.

If you think conditions are mixed Thursday, wait until Friday.
