ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — This summer, your young one can join New Mexico United, train like the players and learn from their coaches and players.
Two camps, scheduled for July 25-27 and Aug. 1-3, are open for kids ages 7 to 12 and a July 18-20 camp is open for kids ages 13-17. Each camp will be held at the Mesa del Sol training field from 6-8 p.m. each day, except for the 3-5 p.m. class on Aug. 3 to allow players and their families to attend the United game in the evening.
Each kid is invited to attend an on-field game day experience at a United home game during this season with the purchase of a spot at camp. Players will also receive a special shirt and soccer ball.
The camp is open to 100 field players and 20 goalkeepers. More information is available on the New Mexico United website.
Colton Shone talked with New Mexico United First Assistant Coach Masaki Hemmi and their Director of Goalkeeping Nate Walzer about what parents and kids can expect with this camp.
