Police arrest 18-year-old for firing shots in mall parking lot

The incident happened just over a week ago, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque Police arrested an 18-year-old accused of firing multiple gunshots in the Coronado Mall parking lot earlier this month.

The incident happened the evening of Feb. 19. Police accuse 18-year-old Jabsie Lewis of firing six shots in the parking lot, hitting a pickup truck near the Round1 Bowling and Arcade. No one was injured.

APD identified the people in the suspect vehicle seen on surveillance video. They identified Lewis as the suspect accused of firing shots in the parking lot.

Police arrested Lewis on Wednesday. He is in the Metropolitan Detention Center on charges of shooting at or from a motor vehicle and criminal damage to property.
