ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Restaurants in New Mexico are celebrating the unique flavors of Japanese cuisine with a “Taste of Japan” event.

The “Taste of Japan” event runs through Saturday at three restaurants in Albuquerque. It’s a partnership between them and the Japan External Trade Organization. These restaurants will offer limited-time dishes that highlight Japanese seafood:

• Azuma Sushi & Teppan
  • 8104 Wyoming Blvd NE B
  • 4701 San Mateo Blvd NE

Henry Blanchard, a chef from Takumi, stopped by to show the fusion of southwestern and Japanese flavors. He also prepared some sushi for our anchors to try on-air.
