ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A chilly morning will turn into a warmer day with plenty of sunshine and light winds Friday in New Mexico.
High temperatures will mostly be in the lower-to-middle 60s, which is about 6-12° above average for this time of year. Expect plenty of sunshine and light winds this afternoon.
Come Saturday, a fire weather watch is in effect from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the bootheel of New Mexico. Winds will gust to around 40 mph with relative humidity around 7-12%. It’s likely this will be upgraded to a red flag warning.
