11 Lobos qualify for NCAA track championships

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — It’s that time of year again. The NCAA track and field championships are around the corner and UNM has a big group headed to Eugene, Oregon.
The women’s team had seven qualifiers while the men’s team had four, including the entire 4 x 400 relay team, Jovahn Williamson, Rivaldo Leacock, Jevon O’Bryant, and Victor Akhalu.
Amelia Mazza-Downie and Emma Heckel advanced to the NCAA championships in two events: 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters. Mazza-Downie and Heckel headline a talented group of distance runners.
Gracelyn Larkin joins Mazza-Downie and Heckel in the 5,000-meter race.
