New Mexico United Academy advances in USL playoffs with 3-1 win
TAMPA, FLA. – The New Mexico United Academy team rebounded Friday to a 3-1 victory against Southern Soccer Academy.
SSA scored first at 35′, halfway into the 70-minute match. However, United shut out SSA with three goals in the second half.
Andre Robles kicked it off with a goal at 45′. Then, Cristian Nava earned United the lead with a goal at 60′ and Taylor Rogers secured the win with a goal at 70′.
United will face Weston FC in a Saturday semifinal match at 9 a.m. MT.
If United wins, they will play Sunday at 4:30 p.m. MT in the USL Academy championship, set to air on ESPN+.
