UNM women’s golf tees off fall season next week

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The UNM Lobo women’s golf team tees off their season Monday at home for the annual McGuire Invitational.

Teams will be coming from all over the country to participate in the tournament Monday and Tuesday – and it’s a big advantage for the Lobos to play on their home turf.

“It’s our favorite event every year, to be able to come out here, have our first event and have everybody play, the whole team gets to be out here playing,” said Lobo player Lauren Lehigh.

“The roof is really long and thick, the green is really smooth, so we come out in the course and practice a lot to get used to stuff like that,” said Lobo player Jenny Lertsadwattana.
