ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Some parts of New Mexico will see some much-anticipated rain but that rain could cause some problems.
Areas affected by northern New Mexico wildfires have a heightened chance of flash floods as the burn scar continues to make the land more water repellent. A watch is in effect until 9 p.m.
Other parts of the state, especially in southern New Mexico, will see some scattered showers and thunderstorms. Overall, the state will stay very warm as the weekend approaches.
